Can’t Think Through the Fog…

September 30, 2007

Every morning, I head to Seattle’s Best to do a little work on the novel. It’s become a routine, and a quite effective one, I might add. I’ve been plugging away, trimming a little here, revising a little there.

But not today.

I don’t know if it’s the weather (humid), the bowl of cereal I ate before I left (I never eat cereal these days) or the fact that I was up until midnight last night (my sleep patterns would be unrecognizable to the me of five years ago). Whatever the cause, I have a terrible case of brain fog this morning. It’s as though there’s this wet blanket smothering my thoughts, dulling everything, making it difficult to focus.

I wonder if this is how Dubya feels all the time…
