Oh Noes!

July 27, 2006

Looks like I’ve got some bad news to pass along…

For Mazda owners, that is.  This ship, the Cougar Ace, is listing at 60 degrees after a ballast mishap at sea.  In her hold, nearly five thousand Mazda vehicles, mostly Mazda3’s and the new CX-7 SUVs.

On the other side of the continent, all seems well with the Mini.  It’s carrier, the Emden, docked at Charleston this morning, and by now the Mini should be on its way to, or already at, the distribution center.

I’ve been told by my sales guy that it takes anywhere from two to three weeks for Minis to reach San Antonio after they clear the VDC, but reports from Mini owners in Houston peg the wait as closer to five days.

Either way, the day is getting closer…
