Not That There’s Anything Wrong With Being a Horse…

January 13, 2006

I just…I mean…wow…

AN OXFORD University student who called a policeman’s horse "gay" will not be prosecuted.

But police stood by their decision to take him to court for
"homophobic comments" after the Crown Prosecution Service yesterday
dropped the case.

Sam Brown, 21, from Belfast, approached the mounted officer during a
night out in Oxford after his final exams last May, and said: "Excuse
me, do you realise your horse is gay?" Moments later, two police cars
appeared and he was arrested under the Public Order Act.

This whole sensitive, uptight society thing needs to stop.  I mean, a drunk college kid calls a police officer’s horse gay…and that’s grounds for calling in backup and having him arrested?  Calling a horse gay?

Lighten up, chill out, and grow a sense of humor.

I remember hearing about that a couple months ago. It was all over the British press. Typical. Nice to hear he was let go.

No, it was just a metrosexual. Easy mistake.

Did he have a tight saddle and snappy shoes? Did he neigh with a lisp? Was he an extra in Brokeback Mountain?

It was the highlights he had worked into his tail. And the expensive gel he used to turn his mane into a “fauxhawk.”

Like I said, easy to see how the guy made the mistake.

Maybe the horse had a Vespa…

If he did, I hope he at least modded it with his Gameboy like all the other crazy Euros are doing right now.

(News story today: apparently scooters in scooter-crazy Europe come with a 90kph limit, but a mod using a Gameboy allows you to hack the little things and defeat the restriction … )
